this is now posted in the portraits collection. And it's on to project two. A watercolor of Fionna in a meeting. Here's the pencil study for the painting. I'm doing a series of smaller sized portraits. But I can't wait for project three, the Bodega Wall. I'll get to work in blues. And it's bricks painted blue. With some messy spots in a rusty red color. This will be in acrylics. Just you wait and see. Hola!
Everywhere and Nowhere. The other night my sleep medication that deals with my neurological sleep problems failed. I had to get up and take the big stuff. But this requires being upright for a while until it kicks in. Sometimes I'm so out of it that I forget to go to bed altogether. But it's a great time to take a look at those projects I've been thinking about. I like this--I'm working from a reference photo here--because of the negative space between Thomasin's profile and her bent arm.
So this is a draft of what I'm trying to do. The background has to be increased in value, maybe even changed to a darker color so the profile stands out. More work on the skin tones and some blue stripes on the sweater. Hope I get to do more on this right soon.
I'm also working on "Bodega Wall" I have high hopes for that one.
Cheers,
Jeanne
